For many years I have recognized that the easiest and most cost effective way to beautify any room is to add a crown molding. The expense associated with buying and installing crown moulding is well below the costs of most other remodeling enhancements. Crown molding is often the difference between the average and the inspiring. High density polyurethane mouldings, however, take the inspirational to another point. The traditional design motifs of polyurethane are either not possible in wood crown moldings or outside the financial ability of most home owners. The expenses associated with the installation of a plaster cornice are equally out of reach for most. Designers of our urethane moldings have carried out what could not be realized in wood or plaster moldings. We are sure you will find our profiles and attention to detail to far exceed that of ordinary crown. As a bonus, the installation of urethane moldings can be simplified with the use of our pre-mitered inside and outside corners, corner drops and center keys. If you do not want to miter “butt” and corner joints, use our pre-mitered pieces for ease of installation as well as beauty.
Installation is similar to installing wood crown molding with the exception that a construction adhesive should be applied. A few finish nails are required to hold the moldings until the adhesive sets. Afterward the glue sets use a painter’s caulk and sand the joints as you would with a wood molding.
