Over the years, I have known that the easiest and most economical way to enhance the beauty of any room is to install a crown moulding. The expense associated with buying and installing crown moulding is well below the expenses associated with other remodeling enhancements. Crown molding is often the difference between the mundane and the awe inspiring. High density urethane moldings, however, bring the inspirational to a higher level. The traditional design motifs of urethane are either not possible in wood crown mouldings or outside the economic ability of most people. The costs of the installation of a plaster cornice are equally beyond the reach for most. Engineers of our polyurethane moldings have achieved what could not be accomplished in wooden or plaster mouldings. Our designs and attention to detail will far exceed that of ordinary crown moulding. As a bonus, the installation of polyurethane mouldings can be simplified with the use of our pre-mitered inside and outside corners, corner drops and center keys. If you do not want to miter “butt” and corner joints, use our pre-mitered pieces for ease of installation as well as beauty.
Installation is similar to installing wood crown molding with the exception that a construction adhesive should be used. A few finish nails are required to hold the moldings until the adhesive cures. Afterward the glue cures use a painter’s caulk and sand the joints as you would with a wood molding.
