Ornamental Frieze MoldingFrieze moldings are most often used in the wall area just below the crown molding or cornice. I have seen frieze moldings used, however, to good effect on the ceiling a few inches away from the crown molding. Coffered ceilings, as well, provide a very nice "field" for frieze moldings. Consider using frieze moldings used in mantel surrounds below the mantel shelf. In mantel construction and placement, be sure to follow fire and local building codes for clearances. We are confident that you will find our classically designed frieze moldings to be of the highest quality and design execution.
Our Frieze moldings range in size from 2 5/8" - 7 3/4" wide!!! You will notice that three of them are carved through so that the wall color shows through the molding. See

Installing our moldings is similar to that of wood moldings. Construction adhesive, however, should be used with a few finish nails to hold the molding until the adhesive sets. Afterward caulk, sand and paint as you would wood moldings. Our moldings are pre-primed and ready to go. You will notice that 6" sample pieces of each are available for purchase.
