This is a new fireplace mantle rendering that I created in Google Sketchup. I love eye-brow arches and so sketched this one with one. It also has split columns which help to keep the depth of the mantel to a minimum (full columns would require for a deeper mantel shelf) and so reduce the heat to the mantel shelf. The basic design I'm sure has been copies multiplied times. The idea for me came from Balmer Mantels.
