I found the blog, Playing Sublimely, through Julia's Hooked-on-Houses blog. I was so impressed by the renovation these folks at PS have done to their 30+ year old home I wanted to reference it here. And though the renovation is wider than the entry pictured below, you will at least get a taste of what these creative and talented people have done to their home. The entry has all the thing I admire most about a fine entry. The "eyebrow" arches are one of my favorite architectural elements. I prefer them to the full semi circular arches. The arches are reproduced in the double door as well as the roof line. I really like the double columns sitting atop the brick bases as well. The entry is exactly what I envision for my own home.
